Contact Timeline — Every Touchpoint on One Lead, Side by Side

The redesigned Contact Timeline gives you a 2-column slide-out at 55vw — calls, chats, bookings, and AI-applied tags on the same screen, in chronological order.

When a sales manager asks 'what happened with this lead?', the old answer was: 'Let me pull up the LeadConnector contact, then the call history, then the conversation, then the calendar…' Four tabs, four contexts, four mental switches. The new Contact Timeline collapses that into a single 55vw slide-out with two intelligent columns.

How to open it

  1. Sub-Account → Contact Timeline (left sidebar nav).
  2. Search or pick any contact from the list.
  3. The contact row expands into a 55vw slide-out — almost two-thirds of the screen, leaving the list visible on the left for fast next-contact scanning.
Why 55vw instead of full-screen?
Sales floors review 30+ contacts in a single sitting. A full-screen modal would force you to close → scroll → reopen for every lead. 55vw shows the timeline AND keeps the contact list visible — one click away from the next lead.

The 2-column layout

Left column — Touchpoints (chronological)
📞 Calls
Inbound and outbound phone calls with duration, recording link, AI summary, and outcome tags.
💬 Chat threads
SMS, WhatsApp, IG, FB, and Web Widget conversations — collapsed into expandable threads.
📅 Bookings
Appointments that were booked via check_availability + book_appointment, with the time, calendar, and meeting type.
🔄 Trigger events
When the AI fired trigger_outbound_call from a chat, when the lead replied after a Switch to SMS handoff, etc.
Right column — Intelligence panels
🏷 Tag Audit Card
AI-auto-applied tags (clearly separated from manual tags) with timestamps and source attribution.
📊 Engagement summary
Total calls, total messages, last contact date, and current pipeline stage.
📝 AI Notes
Every AI-generated summary stitched together — read the full story of this lead in 30 seconds.
🎯 Custom fields
All LeadConnector custom fields the AI has populated (budget, timeline, property type, etc.) in one scannable list.

Reading the timeline — top to bottom = newest to oldest

Every touchpoint card carries the channel icon, timestamp, and a 2-line preview. Click any card to expand:

  • Click a call → see the full transcript, listen to the recording, read the AI summary.
  • Click a chat thread → see every message in the conversation, including AI replies and trigger badges.
  • Click a booking → see the calendar slot, meeting type, attendees, and a link to reschedule in LeadConnector.
  • Click a Tag Audit entry → see which conversation or call applied the tag, with a link to jump there.

Why this matters for the sales floor

Use cases
Manager review
Open a rep's hot lead → see every AI touchpoint + every human follow-up in 10 seconds. No more 'pull me the call recording' Slack pings.
Re-engagement campaigns
Filter contacts by 'last touched > 14 days' → review the timeline → push them back into a nurture workflow with full context.
Refund / dispute defense
Customer claims you 'never contacted' them? Timeline shows 8 messages + 2 calls + 1 booked appointment with timestamps and recordings. Case closed.
AI quality control
Spot patterns: are the AI's auto-applied 'qualified' tags actually closing deals? Open 10 timelines and compare.

Filters & quick actions

At the top of the timeline, you'll find:

  • Channel filter — show only calls, only chats, only bookings.
  • Date range picker — last 7 / 30 / 90 days, or custom.
  • Outcome filter — booked only, qualified only, no-answer only.
  • Export to CSV — full timeline as a structured report for hand-off to managers or auditors.
Pair this with Tag Audit
Tag Audit chip on the conversation card tells you which agent fired. Contact Timeline tells you what HAPPENED after. Use them together: chip = routing health, timeline = lead lifecycle health.
Where's the data coming from?
Contact Timeline aggregates from 4 backend collections in real time: calls, chat_sessions, bookings, and tags_applied — joined on contact_id. There's no nightly sync — what you see is live to the second.
