Voxinity AI is built so a brand-new account can stand up a working voice agent in a single sitting. This walkthrough takes you from sign-up to a real inbound call answered by AI.
Step 1 — Create your workspace
- Sign up at voxinity.ai and verify your email.
- Pick a plan during onboarding (Launchpad covers solo operators; Agency/Pro unlock sub-accounts).
- Enter your business name, website, and target audience — this seeds your first agent's system prompt.
Step 2 — Add usage balance
Voxinity uses a USD balance model for chat, SMS, knowledge base, and AI inference. Telephony (the actual phone calls) is paid through your own Twilio or Telnyx account, so you'll connect that next.
- Settings → Billing → Top-Up Balance.
- $20 is plenty to test calls end-to-end.
- If your balance drops below $3 you'll see a low-balance banner; at $0, chat and SMS are blocked.
Step 3 — Connect Twilio or Telnyx and import a number
- Sub-Account → Phone Numbers → Connect Twilio (or Connect Telnyx).
- Paste your account SID and auth token (or Telnyx API key).
- Your numbers appear in the list. Click a number → assign it to an agent.
Step 4 — Create a Voice Agent
- Open AI Agents → New Agent.
- Pick a template (e.g., Inbound Receptionist) — it pre-fills a working prompt.
- Choose an ElevenLabs voice.
- Click Save & Activate.
Step 5 — Call your agent
Dial the imported number from your cell phone. The agent will pick up within ~1 second, greet you with your business name, and respond conversationally. Every call is recorded and transcribed in Call History.
Next stop
Once your first call works, add a calendar booking tool, connect a CRM, and embed the chat widget on your website. The next three guides cover each of those.
